Beginner Tattoo Courses in Colorado Springs

Want to Learn Tattooing in Colorado Springs?

If you’re looking for tattoo courses near Colorado Springs that focus on real skills and not just paperwork, this is your place to start.

Certified Tattoo Academy offers beginner-focused tattoo classes taught by working professionals. You’ll learn inside two licensed studios located in:

  • Downtown Colorado Springs, just off N Weber Street near Colorado College

  • Southeast Colorado Springs, near Drennan Road close to the Colorado Springs Airport

Whether you're just getting started or want to skip the confusing shop scene, our hands-on training gives you the foundation to grow as an artist, safely and confidently.

What You’ll Learn in the Beginner Program

This isn't a theory-based course where you sit back and watch slides. You'll get real practice, real tools, and real feedback.

Here’s what the course includes:

  • Machine Setup and Handling: Learn how to load needles, adjust depth, and prep for clean work

  • Tattoo Safety and Hygiene: Understand proper sanitation, skin prep, and how to avoid cross-contamination

  • Linework and Tiny Flash Tattoos: Start small with focused line training and simple designs

  • Client Prep and Aftercare: Learn how to communicate professionally and walk clients through their session

  • Community Support: You’ll be added to our private student group for ongoing advice and feedback

Many students move straight into apprenticeships or build personal brands because their work speaks for itself.

Our online tattoo course with a certificate is built for students who want to learn from home. The content is taught by real tattooers, and you’ll still get guided instruction with feedback, not just videos.
